Poetry

In a meadow full of life,        where flowers bloom, leaves sway Sunlight peeps through every corner to find its ways       Here, I stand in solitude             with my emotions in multitude I want to laugh out, I want to sing aloud, And welcome the fragrance around, Alas, however there is always a block that will never be turned around! I pray for some strength and then ,            simply smile at it and the barrier melts away,           bit by bit. Now I sing, I laugh and I dance with no strife,              to feel every pore of my heart & soul,  rejoicing seeing the glory of life! ~~~~ By me

Thank you!

My sister initially asked me why are you writing when no one is reading? I told her, I am not writing for people to read (which I soon realized is a lie). She was like, then why don't you write things down on your diary. Now I have been asking myself, why am I writing on this blog? I am not here to become a very famous blogger or to claim an award to my blog. I thought it was a means to get connected to many people who are going through the routine life and trying to make a difference in their respective ways of living. When I link up with another blog, the comments that people give by just looking at the zest of my life, makes me feel so happy. Some blogs inspire me so much that, I have started kitchen garden, regular cleaning of home, providing feminine touch to my house, live frugally and the list goes on. I would love to share these developments in my life with people who inspired me. And also help new mother like me to visit these lovely ladies at   Like Mother, Like Dau

Every year, we go for a short break to places around Goa, mainly waterfalls! Trips have been such fun, cause of the company we have during such trips. All cool guyz from our office together set out on a weekend specially during rainy season. Oh its so much fun, our trip this years is due, hoping that by August end we would be able to plan one. 1. Kankavli, Maharashtra (Napne waterfalls)  The waterfall is a small and very clean (Its not very famous, hence no much crowd) one hence we could enjoy to the fullest. 2. Jog Falls, Karnataka Jog Falls is one of the famous waterfalls of India, Its falls from such a height (hence no bath under the falls! )  3. Amboli Falls, Maharashtra This is one place we are ready to go any time during the monsoons There was fog there, it looks so good na! 4. Dandeli, Karnataka  Dandeli is famous for water rafting, however we missed it, so simply enjoyed the stream and our resort lake 5

Forget & forgive

Image
Can you forgive a person without forgetting, how he/she hurt you? I know the lord says that unless you don't forgive your brother, how do you expect god to forgive you? Jog falls, Karnataka There are many people whom I may not be close friends with, or people who were just passer by's in my life, who may have said or done something which were not very nice to keep in mind. I may have forgiven them but, all of a sudden at some point of time the memory return and makes me feel down. You know? what fate wants me to write this post today. In middle of typing my post, I had to go to our Directors cabin and in the waiting area, I came across this article in magazine named tathaastu "love & forgiveness". A walk through the article enlightened me to the fact that where love exist there do not arise a need for forgiveness, all I have to do is learn to love the people about whom I have any bitter feelings about. The credit need not be give to the magazine for ca

Love my Life!

{Pretty Happy Funny Real} ~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ {Pretty} We are planning for long now a renovation of our existing home or a new home. So I am in quest of different ideas. Specially to design a home that has proper place for all the stuff..no wanders. Came across this kitchen pics on the net, isn't it such a comfy looking kitchen and so lovely   {Happy} After I browsing this site , I had this uncontrollable craving for brownies again (I had just made some last week. Do mother have the food craving after delivery too?), SO after work at around 8.00pm, I made these beauties-- yes my photography has to improve a lot when compared too all you lovely ladies out there. :( {Funny} Has anyone ever see dust bin and iron box sharing a table. Yesterday when I went to iron my clothes, this is what I found and on inquiry, found that due to my exploring sparkle, his elder sister had place it "on a top place&quo

Wow Bronies!

Image
I had tried making these brownies earlier from here . They however didn't look like the ones in the pictures shown. It was very hard and very bitter, though were eatable with whipped cream. Yesterday when I saw these , I couldn't delay the process of baking them again. So this time, I went through so many different recipes and finally did it this way (mine look more dark!) They looked lot better then what appears on the screen. How to make a beautiful thing look bad, is a skill to be learnt from me! I need to purchase a good camera :( Ingredients: 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1/3 cup cocoa 1 egg (am not a fan of egg, else most of the recipe count for 2 eggs) handful of chocolate chunks 1/2 a cup butter 1 tsp of vanilla ext 1 tbsp of raisin or cranberry (optional) and since my batter was thick, I added in a 2 tsp of milk cream Directions: Mix butter and sugar until creamy, then add in egg and whisk till sugar melts To this mixture add cocoa and mix till well inc

Five Favorites (3)-shapes

Linking up with Five Favorites at MoxieWife.com  This time I thought of posting pics of my favorite five things in shape perspective. --1-- Pot of Ghee: I love this pot (I know its not a pot, but I can't think of a graceful word for that shape. And for how to make home made ghee-clarified butter from scratch click here )  --2-- These beautiful and colorful bowls.  We have our breakfast in it, dessert in it, serve in it, it adds so much of color on the dining table and kitchen. --3-- My water source at home. How I love to finish the water in that jug! Its super easy to clean this handsome fellow. --4-- My Favorite at Office. I carry it like a child with me around at work. this is my third one (Unfortunately, my daughter & niece broke two earlier ones: its famous among kids!) --5-- My lunch bag: Its the most cutest bag I have ever had. I can fit in so much of food in it and it also had a glass which is spill free.

moving...

My dear sparkle is on move now, and is tasting everything on his way. Poor thing already had two falls while trying to sit. He is more careful now, when on bed he shows a confidence that nothings going to hurt him, however as soon as I put him down, he becomes very careful.

Make clarified butter.

Image
Clarified butter or as we call it in India-"Ghee", has been a part of my home ever since Maple was born. When we started with solid food for her, my mother used to put in a drop of ghee made by her. The story of making ghee at home goes way back when I was studying engineering. I happen to visit my roommates home at Mangalore. Jacy's mom is such a warm person, she cooked yummy food for me, and when I left she handed me a bottle of home made ghee (they had cows at home, so milk was bountiful there) With the arrival of that bottle at my house, my mom saw to it that the bottle was never empty. Every week she would collect the cream from the ilk we used and store it to make clarified butter to add onto the bottle. However, once we introduced Maple to ghee, she became a huge fan of the flavor it imparts to food. Then she wanted in on her rice, rotis, bread etc etc.. With depleting resource from mom, i was forced to make mine at home. Here's how I do it from the scr

Life in monsoon

Image
{Pretty Happy Funny Real} ~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ Its raining..... not continuous though! and I am not a "love the rains" kind of a person, however I do like to get out when its sunny after the rain, everything looks so washed and cleaned out! {Pretty}   {Happy} All shelf and furniture dusted and cleaned {Funny} Sparkle is kind of claiming his right on stuff that use to be Maple's and my sweet little daughter ever ready to give it to her little brother. However, she does come and tell me in my ears: "Mama you better teach Sparkle, how to share things with me " This bean bag was bought on request from Maple as her old one had torn apart and now we find Sparkle always on it {Real}  Covering Maple's schools books, she started with her academic year this June after a long summer vacation As monsoon gets into action, I need to give special attention into my Sunshine
