{Pretty Happy Funny Real} ~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ I am so happy to hear that we would be having an addition of another pretty, cute and graceful daughter-mother pair adding to the list at Like Mother, Like Daughter, God bless them abundantly! Getting started with capturing clicks of contentment, lets begin... {Pretty} In search of some flower from my garden, I found anthurium, there are plenty of them now in the garden now. { Happy} This candle stand has been at my husband's home, even before we were married. However, when I 'met' this one it was wrapped in white crepe paper (which was all dusty and torn). so I ripped off the entire mess, and left the poor stand without a dress for long time (I had not come across all these creative blogs then). Now that I have, I tried to dress the candle stand again! This is what it looks like now. :) The cream beads lace is from Maple's 1st birthday dress. I wrapped a m

Chores and Creativity

Time is an element that can be found if one really needs it. I have realized that in the past weeks; even though I had been working at office for weekend, we managed to not only buy a gift for a close family friend, but also visit the newly weds a day before the reception, study for an examination scheduled, attend a wedding reception etc etc...  Oh yes it was exhausting with two kids & equally busy husband, daily chores at home and list goes on. God always gives us strength, (or does he do some work for us! ;) ) So now I have decided to list out target/goals/milestones whatever for this month: Creativity is some thing that naturally gives a sense of satisfaction and peace to an individual, so every week or at-least every month must have some thing from this section, may be in form of baking, cooking, sewing, crafting, or may be simply assembling few fresh flowers from the garden into a vase. Faith and learning gives us the strength and courage to go through any di

{Pretty Happy Funny Real} ~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ Oh, how I missed linking up with this awesome blog for past two weeks. Life was pretty busy last weeks. But now that August is here and I would be taking some days off from my office work to be with my babies (I am so happily looking forward for the days to arrive) and hoping to slow down a bit and give more time towards sewing, gardening, crafting etc. {Pretty} While in search of some old cloth for my sewing experiment, I dug out this dress from wardrobe, isn't the embroidery pretty? Now once I am good at sewing, I am planning to stitch a dress from it for Maple { Happy} I am so happy about my in-laws visiting us the coming week and that finally today is Friday- weekends finally here!   {Funny}  This is what Sparkle did when asked if he would miss my sister, once she is away studying in a far of college  She would be more than happy to pack him along.

I have decided, however busy I may be, I shall read at least one page of a book. Have I ever mentioned that Goa houses one of largest libraries in Asia. Yes, "Krishnadas Shama" State Central Library, Goa. New State Central Library Old one The Central library was established on 15th September 1832 by Vice Roy Dom Manuel de Portugal e Castro as ‘Publica Livraria.’ It had a beginning name as ‘Academia Militar de Goa’ (Military Training Institute). In 1836 the name was changed to ‘Bibliotheca Publica’ and enriched with bibliographical repository transferred from the Convents run by religious orders that were suppressed in the1834. In the same year the Library was shifted to premises where the Municipal Proceedings were held, however, the collection on Mathematics and Military sciences was left in Academia and books on Administrative and Legislative matters were transferred to Secretariat Library. The book stack of this library has 47,000 books in four

~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ I missed out on the last two weeks of PHFR, we were all down with cold and fever. By god's grace, all are slowly recovering.  Hence in order to celebrate recovery, I thought of making something special yet simple. So these are what I made . {Pretty} & { Happy }  At my home, people are eagerly awaiting the evening tea time the most, and specially on weekends it needs to be an elaborate one. I always try to make some homemade stuff on Saturday and Sunday evenings. I had read about these American biscuits at Ria's collection and was determined to try them out and wow as they say beginner luck, they were so tasty, that entire family opted out of dinner and just wanted more of them. I must say "Thank you Ria!" I severed them with coriander leaves and coconut chutney  I made some Dhokla on the subsequent Sunday, I had tried them before, but didn't turn out very well. This time howe

In a meadow full of life,        where flowers bloom, leaves sway Sunlight peeps through every corner to find its ways       Here, I stand in solitude             with my emotions in multitude I want to laugh out, I want to sing aloud, And welcome the fragrance around, Alas, however there is always a block that will never be turned around! I pray for some strength and then ,            simply smile at it and the barrier melts away,           bit by bit. Now I sing, I laugh and I dance with no strife,              to feel every pore of my heart & soul,  rejoicing seeing the glory of life! ~~~~ By me

Thank you!

My sister initially asked me why are you writing when no one is reading? I told her, I am not writing for people to read (which I soon realized is a lie). She was like, then why don't you write things down on your diary. Now I have been asking myself, why am I writing on this blog? I am not here to become a very famous blogger or to claim an award to my blog. I thought it was a means to get connected to many people who are going through the routine life and trying to make a difference in their respective ways of living. When I link up with another blog, the comments that people give by just looking at the zest of my life, makes me feel so happy. Some blogs inspire me so much that, I have started kitchen garden, regular cleaning of home, providing feminine touch to my house, live frugally and the list goes on. I would love to share these developments in my life with people who inspired me. And also help new mother like me to visit these lovely ladies at   Like Mother, Like Dau
